The Administration is set to revoke its COVID-19 vaccination requirements for international nonimmigrant air travelers. Effective May 12, 2023, nonimmigrant noncitizens will not need to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 to board flights to the United States. This change coincides with the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency declaration.

The change in travel policy applies directly to nonimmigrant international air travelers. These are individuals who enter the U.S. for a temporary period for purposes such as tourism, business, temporary work, or study.
