If You're a Cuban Immigrant Visa Applicant

The full resumption of visa processing in Havana could shorten your waiting time for an appointment. However, if your appointment was initially scheduled in Georgetown, you'll have to complete your case processing there.

The U.S. Embassy in Havana will process your case if you live in Cuba. But, when selecting an interview location, you'll still need to choose Georgetown on your DS-260 form.

A: No, neither the U.S. Embassy in Havana nor Georgetown can assist with requests to transfer cases that have already been scheduled in Georgetown.

**Q: I'm a diversity visa applicant. Why can't I choose Havana as my interview location on the DS-260 form?**

A: Although Havana will process cases for applicants who live in Cuba, it won't be an option on the dropdown menu of the DS-260 form. Please continue to select Georgetown; cases with a residential address in Cuba will be automatically reassigned to Havana.

**Immediate Relative Visa:** This visa is for a close family member of a U.S. citizen, such as a spouse, child, or parent.
